Dan Moult, communicator, educator and organist par excellence, will blow away all these – and other – misconceptions, and demonstrate some of the endless possibilities of this most versatile and fascinating instrument.
If you’ve ever thought yourself about learning the organ, have an interested pupil or child, or just want to know more about it, come along and be prepared for a multi-sensory challenge. Places are free for young people aged 15 and under: click here to email the organisers to reserve a place. The charge for those 16 and above is £5, and places can be booked below (you can also turn up and pay on the door).
There will also be the opportunity for a few lucky players to ‘have a go’: click here to email the organisers if you're interested (and see below for what to prepare).
What to prepare: nothing, but if you want to try playing the organ at some point then bring something to play: it could be an organ piece if you are already learning, or a simple hymn-tune or piece of piano music.
Fee: £5; no charge for children aged 15 and under
