This event, run in association with the Cumbrian Society of Organists, will be of interest to all those working in small churches who would like to access support, gain confidence or just explore a larger instrument than usual (St Kentigern's boasts a fine 3-manual organ which is one of the largest in Cumbria). We also welcome pianists who might like to try the organ. The day will be led by Tom Bell (RCO Regional Director for the North of England, North Wales and the Isle of Man), with a rough timetable as follows:
A presentation and talk on the RCO's Certificate of Associate Membership (CAM)
Lunch (not provided: please bring a packed lunch. There will be tea/coffee etc available)
Practical class for up to eight players (all levels; free choice of repertoire/topic); anyone attending the morning is welcome as an observer.
The basic fee for the whole day is £15 for RCO/CSO Members and £20 for non-members. For anyone who wishes to play in the afternoon class rather than observe, the fee for the day is £20 for Members and £25 for non-members.
