Note that the 24-hour clock is used on all event listings. All times are GMT/BST. For classes, the following key is used as a guide to level and suitability : Beginner (Grades 1-4); Intermediate (Grades 4-6); Advanced (Grades 6-8 / CRCO); Diploma 1 (CRCO–ARCO); Diploma 2 (ARCO–FRCO); All Standards. The St Edmundsbury Experience

St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds IP33 1LS

Spend an afternoon at St Edmundsbury Cathedral with RCO Regional Consultant for Suffolk and Essex, William Saunders

Booking has now closed for thgis event. 

We begin by observing the Cathedral Choir prepare for choral evensong before attending the service itself. Then the acclaimed Harrison & Harrison organ of 2010 with be demonstrated specially for us after which it's your chance, should you wish, to play it.

Schedule
14:45  Observe choir practice in the Cathedral (please note the revised start time which was previously 14:15)
15:30  Attend choral evensong (Canticles: Stanford in A; Anthem: Antiphon (Let all the world in every corner sing), Vaughan Williams)
16:30  Demonstration of the Cathedral organ
17:00  Open console
19:30  End

Although aimed at RCO members, non-members are also very welcome to attend. RCO Director for East, South and South West England, Simon Williams, will be present to talk informally with those attending.
