St Swithun's Church Allington (Bridport), Dorset

Brush up your hymn and volutary playing skills or learn how to get started under the expert and supportive eyes and ears of RCO Accredited Teacher James Lloyd Thomas, organist of Holy Trinty, Weymouth. This class is limited to six players so your are advised to book early!

What to prepare
A hymn or two of your choice (including, if you wish, modern hymns/worship songs) and voluntaries suitable for before and after the service.

The organ
The organ at St Swithun's was re-built by Conacher in about 1900 and is typical of the instruments to be found in many smaller churches, having 12 stops over two manuals and pedals. Click here for further details. James Lloyd Thomas will give guidance on how to get the most variety from this type of organ.

Twlight recital
James Lloyd Thomas will play a recital at the church after this event, 18:00–18:50.
