In this class Frederick Stocken will guide you through the techniques necessary for the ARCO written paper fugue question. Those entering or considering FRCO who passed ARCO before July 2016 will also find this class offers valuable preparation for the FRCO fugue question. The following will be covered:
(i) how to compose real or tonal answers to fugue subjects
(ii) how to compose countersubjects in invertible counterpoint
(iii) how to compose short episodes based on a given identified motif
This class takes place in the Undercroft of St George's Metropolitan (RC) Cathedral, Lambeth Road, London SE1 6HR.
