Saturday 14th March 2020 (10:30 – 13:00)
Kingsborough Sanctuary, Glasgow G12 8JE

A great opportunity to explore British organ music of the 19th century with James Lancelot on the fine 3 manual organ of Kingsborough Sanctuary (previously Hyndland Parish Church) in Glasgow. James's masterclass will include the opportunity for six players to receive guidance and feedback on their playing. Observer places are still available. Lunch places may also be available (please contact to check).

The masterclass will be followed by lunch and an afternoon recital by James Lancelot. (Please note that there is a separate charge for lunch, which should be booked direct with GSO.)

James Lancelot is Canon Organist Emeritus of Durham Cathedral, where he was Master of the Choristers and Cathedral Organist from 1985 to 2017. Previously he was Sub-Organist at Winchester Cathedral and Organ Scholar at King's College, Cambridge.

This event is promoted in conjunction with the Glasgow Society of Organists. Observer places are free for all members of the GSO. There are also three playing places available free of charge for GSO members of an appropriatae standard. Preference will be given to those listed in the 2019 GSO membership booklet. In both cases, GSO members should book direct with the society via email at this address rather than using this form.

Following the masterclass, there will be lunch and an afternoon recital by James Lancelot. There is an additional cost for lunch.
