Working with orchestras—guidance for choral conductors from Nicholas Cleobury.

Wednesday 25th May 2022 (19:00 – 20:00)

A rare opportunity for choral directors, whether or not they already have experience of working with orchestras, to learn from and ask questions of one of the country's most experienced and respected conductors, one who has a special
interest in choral music of all types and who is a lively communicator.

During this online event we will watch two of the films Nicholas Cleobury has made specially for the RCO—on preparing Haydn's‘Little Organ Mass’ (Missa Brevis No. 7 in Bb) and Bach’s Cantata ‘Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme’ BWV 140—and will have ample opportunity to ask questions of the presenter. For maximum benefit you should have orchestral scores of both works to hand. Copies can be downloaded free of charge and copyright at and

Attendance is for RCO members only and is free of charge. Please click here to send an email to register for the event [events 'at']. A link to join the event on Zoom will be sent out by email on 24 May.
