Choral Directing Workshop

9th October 2010 11:00am, Temple Church, London EC4Y 7HL

This will be an informative and supportive day for choral directors of all levels of experience, from beginner to highly experienced, whether they work with church or secular choirs, and an essential day for those preparing for (or considering) the College's Choral Directing Diploma. The programme is based around the Diploma syllabus which, in its written and practical components, encompasses a broad range of issues of direct relevance to all those working with choirs. A professional-standard chamber choir will be present for the afternoon session. In both sessions you may participate actively as a conductor or passively as an observer. The day will end at 16:30hrs.

We are delighted to welcome Peter Wright, Organist and Director of Music at Southwark Cathedral, to lead the day for us. Peter is a highly popular visiting tutor for the Royal Academy of Music's Choral Conducting programme and from 1997-2005 was RCO Chief Examiner.
