RCO launches new ‘jobs board’ for organists
A new ‘jobs board’ service for organists has been launched by the Royal College of Organists.
The new service has two elements, designed to help RCO Members as they seek new positions of employment, and also employers as they seek RCO Members to fill vacancies.
The first service allows any organisation, institution or venue seeking an organist to place a ‘Situations Vacant’ advertisement on a secure page which is accessible by more than 2,000 RCO Members.
The second allows any RCO Member to place a ‘Positions Sought’ message which will advertise their availability for a new post on a publicly available Positions Sought page on the College website, which attracts approximately 25,000 unique visitors every year.
Both adverts run for four weeks from the date of placement, cost £10, and are bookable online.
Users of the new service should note that it an advertising only service. The College does not perform background checks on advertising Members or employers, or in any way verify or vouchsafe advertised details such as those regarding qualifications and experience. Potential employers and applicants alike are therefore urged to carry out their own appropriate due diligence throughout the recruiting process.
