RCO Cinema

RCO Cinema is a partnership between the RCO and film-maker Fugue State Films, designed to make high-quality films about the organ and its music available to the widest possible audience around the world.

The films are free to everyone (email address required to register) and are generally shown for a six- to eight-week period.

The Great Toccata (17 July – 16 September)
Messiaen’s Musical Universe – Part 1 (17 September – 5 October)
Messiaen’s Musical Universe – Part 2 (6–19 October)
Franck: Father of the Organ Symphony – Part 1 (20 October - 9 November)
Franck: Father of the Organ Symphony – Part 2 (10 - 30 November)
The English Organ (1– 31 December).

Fugue State Films was founded by Will Fraser in 2007, since when it has made dozens of films about the organ and classical music, including The Genius of Cavaillé-Coll, Maximum Reger, Bach and Expression, and Messiaen’s Musical Universe. Films by Fugue State Films have won multiple awards, premiered in Hollywood, and had prime-time broadcasts nationally across the USA.
