The Royal College of Organists seeks to engage with everyone who has an interest in the organ and its music – from those taking their first steps in discovery, to those who support, employ, teach or champion it.
Our aim is to encourage curiosity, deepen understanding, and promote the enjoyment of organ and choral music in all its forms. We work with individuals and institutions across the sector, including places of worship, employers, schools, teachers and community organisations, helping to sustain and grow a vibrant and inclusive musical culture.
This section brings together information, guidance and resources for a range of audiences:
For employers, we offer advice and support for appointing organists and choral directors – whether for full-time, part-time or occasional roles – along with access to our Jobs Board for both vacancies and positions sought. Read more.
For teachers and schools, we provide materials, guidance and other support (including our Organs in Schools programme) to help introduce and develop the organ within teaching programmes and curriculum activity. Read more.
For places of worship, we offer courses, resources and advice that reflect the enduring relationship between organ and choral music and worship, supporting musicians and leaders alike. Read more.
And through our campaigns – including initiatives such as International Organ Day – we seek to celebrate the organ, widen awareness, and invite more people to discover its unique voice.
