iRCO relaunched with major update
The Royal College of Organists (RCO) has launched a major update of its digital content and online learning hub, iRCO.
Launched in 2015, iRCO has grown rapidly into a powerful and popular online service containing hundreds of films, articles, scholarly papers and other resources for RCO members and guest users.
The new update introduces an array of functions and features designed to improve the visitor experience and support the growing volume of users and content.
An overhauled navigation menu sees iRCO being brought into line with the structure of the main RCO website, with content organised into learning, accreditation, professional support, scholarship and editorial categories.
A powerful new search function allows users to look for the content they want by category, subject tags, content type and accessibility - or a combination of all.
A new page layout makes it easier to review content and search results, including the option to view in grid or list format – ideal for mobile device use.
Content has been comprehensively reviewed, updated, recategorized and tagged. A recommend function has also been introduced to help users find alternative and related content once they have finished with their current item.
RCO Head of Marketing Marc Sanderson said: “Digital and online learning is now firmly established in all walks of life, and the College continues to invest significantly in iRCO and its digital content as one of the College’s most popular and valued services.
“This major update is designed to help member and guest users engage more easily with this unique and growing collection of resources, with better navigation, search facilities and on-page design.”
