Study trip to Vienna and Linz

Monday 1st June 2026 (10:30) – Wednesday 3rd June 2026 (20:30)
Austria

The RCO's regular overseas study trips offer advanced players and observers of all levels an invaluable professional development experience with classes and other playing opportunities on exceptional instruments supported by expert tuition.

Organs to be played include Stift Klosterneuburg, one of the most important Baroque organs in Austria, and Vienna's Stephansdom with one of the newest and largest instruments in Austria. We will also spend a day at St Florian Monastery where Bruckner was a choirboy and subsequently organist. Students of art and architecture will not go unrewarded as these organs are housed in stunning buildings.

Please note the early start on the first day and the late finish on the last when making your travel and accommodation plans. The full itinerary (revised 29.1.26) for this trip with links to the organs to be used can be downloaded by clicking here. It also includes notes about booking accommodation and travel, which items, together with meals, are not included in the price and which trip members should book for themselves. Please note that this trip is designed for those aged over 18. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times and should contact the RCO before booking to discuss suitability. Click here to send an email - events [@] rco.org.uk.
