Are you a candidate for FRCO, considering taking it, or someone, perhaps not an organist, who wishes to expand their understanding of music theory? If so sign-up for this series of two free webinars on the requirements for the FRCO continuo realisation question, taught by Dr Frederick Stocken. The easy-to-use Zoom platform will be used for delivery (click here for video tutorials on using Zoom.).
Up to six places are available for active participants and up to 90 for observers. Active participants will be visible on screen and will be able to ask questions at designated points in each webinar. They are also asked to submit examples of their work after the first webinar and before the second (see below for details).
Webinar 1 (9 November, 20:00–21:00hrs GMT)
Using past papers Frederick will talk about some of the main guiding principles needed for tackling the FRCO continuo realisation question. He will also describe common pitfalls and finally focus on some of the more advanced challenges.
Webinar 2 (23 November, 20:00–21:00hrs GMT)
This will be an examination of completions of questions from past papers submitted by active participants, reinforcing the issues raised in the first webinar and dealing with any further questions arising. Please submit the completions by 16 November, emailing them to email@example.com.
How to book
• Click here to send an email (firstname.lastname@example.org), stating the date(s) of the webinar(s) above that you wish to join and saying whether you wish to be an active participant or an observer.
• In case the demand for active participant places exceeds the number available, those wishing to take part in this way are asked to provide a brief outline of their knowledge in the subject area to be taught, including any individual or group tuition already received, and stating their reasons for wishing to participate actively. We reserve the right to refuse requests for active participation.
• Requests to join should be received by 16:00 on the day of the webinar.
• Bookings for active participants under the age of 18 should come from a parent or guardian who must be present in the same building as the participant at the time of the webinar.

Joining instructions, together with any materials required, will be sent out by email on the Thursday or Friday prior to each webinar.
