The RCO London Organ Forum 2011 will welcome Dalibor Miklavcic and John Kitchen as its featured speakers and performers. Dalibor is a brilliant young Slovenian keyboardist who some Members heard perform on pedal harpsichord and pedal piano at St George's, Hanover Square last December. John is Senior Lecturer and Organist, University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh City Organist and a prolific recording artist. Both are renowned organists, harpsichordists and fortepianists and both are experienced teachers and lecturers. This year the Forum will take advantage of their expertise in Early Music to explore the relationship between the organ repertoire and repertoire for other instruments with both manuals and pedals, especially that for the pedal harpsichord.
As ever, the day will feature a stimulating mix of academic but accessible talks, live performance, lively and informed debate, and an early evening concert. Dalibor will also give a masterclass at St Giles Cripplegate for the RCO St Giles Organ School on Friday 4 November.
Full details are included on the booking form which is available in the Downloads section of the website (scroll down to the RCO Academy section of the page).
