RCO SCOTS Local Organ Workshop: St Andrews

Saturday 7th December 2024 (10:30 – 16:00)
St Andrews

RCO SCOTS supports the work of organists and all those providing music for worship in Scotland’s churches. Our local organ workshops are an informal way to broaden your knowledge, to meet like-minded people and to share experiences, and to receive advice and feedback on your playing. Whether you are eager to participate or prefer to sit back and absorb what’s happening, you will be very welcome. Early bird discount available to those booking before Friday 8 November.

Join us in the historic town of St Andrews on Saturday 7 December. We will be using two recently restored organs, the T C Lewis instrument in the University of St Andrews' Laidlaw Music Centre, installed in 2021, and the Hill, Norman & Beard organ in All Saints Episcopal Church.

Travel advice: St Andrews bus station is a 15 minute walk from either venue. There is a 5 minute walk between the venues. The nearest railway station is Leuchars, which is a 10 minute bus journey (frequent departures) from St Andrews. If you are arriving by car, there is free parking at Petheram Bridge car park (a 20 minute walk away). There is also on-street parking near both venues. In some parts of town on-street parking is free, and this fills up very quickly. Elsewhere you can pay and display (2 hours max) or pay with the RingGo app (2 hours but this can be extended).
