In this, the latest class to be promoted jointly by the RCO and the Newcastle and District Society of Organists, we welcome David Saint to the north east of England. David will lead a performance class on an excellent Harrison & Harrison organ from 1928, of 37 speaking stops. Details of the organ can be found here.
David's website is here.
David is giving an NDSO recital on Friday 21st June, at St. Dominic's Priory in Byker. Students with places booked at this class, will receive a 50% entry to the recital (and the associated excellent, and substantial refreshments!)
Class requirements for players:
Approx Gd. 5 upwards.
As a performance class, ideally in this session the tutor would work with completed performances rather than a 'work in progress'.
Any repertoire would be welcome. However, please note that this organ is best suited to English music written after c.1850.
Fee: £30 RCO/NDSO member; £52 non-member; £20 RCO/NDSO student member; £42 non-member in full time education; £15 observer place, RCO/NDSO member; £22 observer place, non-member
