TOSE-in-a-Day returns to the wonderful and easily accessible city of York. Teenage organists of grade 5 level and above will receive tuition from renowned players and teachers Cathy Lamb and Tom Bell.
What you can expect from this day
Two sessions of repertoire and technique coaching on Baroque and later music
Keyboard musicianship coaching in skills such as sight reading, transposition and score reading
A session on hymn playing

Cathy Lamb, former joint Director of Music at Lichfield Cathedral and now busy as an organist, teacher and animateur.
Tom Bell, Director for RCO North and a renowned performer and recording artist, with a passion for helping young organists develop.

The day will conclude, for those able to stay, with a trip to York Minster to attend evensong. After the service, from approximately 6:30pm, the Minster organ will be available to us for an hour.
What to prepare
One or more pieces by a Baroque composer/Baroque composers
One or more pieces by a composer/composers from the nineteenth century to the present day
