The Royal College of Organists confers gold standard awards
The Royal College of Organists has conferred awards on 35 members at its annual Conferment Ceremony.
Members from the UK and overseas were conferred with Fellowship of the College (FRCO) and Associateship of the College (ARCO), and were presented with the Certificate of the College.
The College also conferred a posthumous Honorary Membership of the College (HonRCO) on Kevin Mason, the former College Secretary who died earlier this year.
The ceremony, which took place on Saturday 6th March at the Southwark Cathedral, London, closed with the Ede & Ravenscroft Recital, given by Matthew Martin, Assistant Master of Music, Westminster Cathedral.
RCO President David Sanger said: “The RCO’s examinations remain as rigorous and challenging as ever, and that is what makes them so highly prized throughout the world as a musical gold standard.
“For this very reason, all of our successful candidates can be proud of their achievements.”
