RCO launches first-ever online Winter Conference

The Royal College of Organists has announced RCO Winter Conference, a brand-new online event for 2021.

From 18-20 February 2021, visitors to RCO Winter Conference will be able to engage online with more than 26 hours of digital content and activity across four channels.

Announcing the new event, the RCO’s Simon Williams said: “RCO Winter Conference 2021 is an exciting new concept, in the form of a fully online conference-style experience for anyone with an interest in the organ and its music.

“We are sure that organists and enthusiasts alike will welcome this unique opportunity to hear and meet world-class performers, attend workshops and seminars by leading teachers on a huge range of topics, and plenty more beside – all without the need to travel, pay for food and accommodation, or even leave the comfort of their favourite chair!”

The RCO Winter Conference seminar and workshop programme includes sessions by more than 20 RCO Accredited Teachers covering repertoire, keyboard technique, choral music, teaching and more.

Celebrity recitalists through the weekend will be Matthias Havinga, Eleni Keventsidou, Nathan Laube, Rachel Mahon, Konstantin Reymaier and William Whitehead.

RCO President Gerard Brooks and Chief Executive Sir Andrew Parmley will open the conference with keynote speeches and a question-and-answer session, and a trade show will be running throughout to allow visitors to interact with the latest products and services.

Tickets are available for either the full conference or single days, with more details and booking at https://conference.rco.org.uk
