RCO St Giles Summer Course set for sell-out success
This year’s RCO St Giles Summer Course for Organists is set to be the most successful ever.
The event, which this year is being run for the first time in partnership with the RCO, is virtually sold out a full two months in advance.
As of today (June 25th) there is just one space left to be confirmed on the course, although a short reserve list will be held for anyone wanting to register interest after that date.
With 75 organists travelling from four continents to play a week-long mixture of classes, concerts and private practice sessions on 35 organs in churches within London’s famous Square Mile, this will be an event like no other in the organ calendar.
Course Director Anne Marsden Thomas said: “The Summer Course is truly unique in terms of the breadth of its appeal, the amount of personal attention available to everyone who attends, and the sheer number of people gathering in one place to learn by playing.
“This year we are looking forward to our biggest event ever, with organists travelling to London from 11 countries including Japan, South African, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Malta and Hong Kong.”
